Bonnie Hogan, née Lott, 63, 245 W. Congress St., Corry, Pa., died Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at Hamot Medical Center in Erie. Mrs. Hogan was born June 19, 1942, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, Pa., a daughter of the late Bernard and Rachel Pifer Lott. She was raised and educated in Punxsutawney, Pa., where she graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1960. Over the years, Mrs. Hogan had been a secretary at the YMCA in Corry, the manager of the Corry Chamber of Commerce, and was employed in the office of the R&J Lansberry Accounting Firm. Mrs. Hogan had been employed at the Corry Journal, where she helped put together the society page. She then began working for the City of Corry and for the past ten years, she had been the City Treasurer of the City of Corry. Mrs. Hogan was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Corry, where she was an elder, having served on the Session, and was chairman of the Mission Committee. She held memberships in the Zonta Club of Corry, the Corry Fine Arts Council Auxiliary, and had been a member and past president of the Corry Kiwanis Club. She held the position of President of the Pine Grove Cemetery Association and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Corry Chapter. Mrs. Hogan was a collector of bear figurines. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas C. Hogan, on September 23, 1993. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hogan, whom she married May 27, 1961, in Punxsutawney, Pa. Also surviving are two daughters, Deborah S. Rouse and her husband Jason, of Moyock, N.C., and Diane M. Hogan of Bradford, Pa.; a son, Dennis L. Hogan and his wife Monica, of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Judith M. Lott of Alexandria, Va.; and by seven grandchildren, Garrett, Rachel, Justin, Eric, and Nathan Hogan, and Zachary and Jessica Rouse. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Bracken Funeral Home, Corry, PA, with the final service held on Monday, December 26, 2005, with Pastor Karen B. Anderson, of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 607 W.
